It's FINALLY Time! | The BIG Truck Giveaway Episode 12

Well, here we are: 12 episodes made, 1 truck fully accessorised, and 1 winner finally chosen! We were so excited to finally meet the person who would be driving away in our fantastic DAF XF, but before we get into that, lets take one last look over everything we've added to make the truck what it is today...

Episode 1: 
All the way back in the first episode, Millie and Ruby- with the help of Tom- took a trip down to Chassis Cab, our local DAF dealer, to pick up the truck for the very first time. The team hadn't seen the truck yet as it had been Tim who organised the pick up, and they were all blown away by how great it looked! There was a lot of work to be done, but everyone was very excited to get started.

Everyone at Chassis Cab was so helpful, especially Graham who helped the girls out with paperwork and showed them around the truck! We brought the truck back to Kuda HQ, and that's where it all began.

 Episode 2:

In episode 2 we added our first accessory- 2 pairs of Kuda Black Edition Hadley Airhorns! Our viewers always love our airhorn content, so what could be better for our very first addition? This was voted for by our viewers, and we couldn't wait to get them on. These airhorns were fitted by Will, and we think he did a fantastic job.

Kuda Black Edition Black TGV's are super loud, super sleek, and the matte black look gives an added touch of class. 

Episode 3:

Viewers had been voting again, and this time, they had chosen a Flat Front LED Name Board. This was fitted by Will and Connor, and was the first of many bits of additional light we added to the truck.

This episode saw the beginning of "Millie and Ruby's Mission", when the girls were tasked with fitting a pair of Vepro Side Window Deflectors. This task went interestingly, particularly when Millie dropped one of the fixing clips down the side of the window channel and couldn't find it for quite some time! Overall though, the side window deflectors were fitted successfully!

Episode 4:

In Millie and Ruby's favourite episode of all, the girls headed down to Willows Car Body Repairs to paint the side skirts for the truck with some specially colour matched paint. With the help of Toby, the 

girls learned some great painting techniques and the side skirts turned out really great!

Once Will had fitted the side skirts, Tom and Millie dropped the DAF off at Chapple Signs, ready to be wrapped in our viewers chosen design. The viewers had selected a modern design, and the next day, Millie and Ruby headed back to Chapple to help out with the wrapping process. The girls had a lot of fun doing this, and everyone was super helpful- a brilliant way to round off the episode.

We think the wrap is one of the major highlights of the truck, as its extremely distinctive and is sure to stand out from the crowd!

Episode 5:

Our viewers picked out some stunning American style wheel trims, which Millie and Ruby were tasked with fitting! With the help of Connor, the girls got to work fitting extra deep bolt on rear liners, jumbo front axle liners, and 10 stud wheel nut covers. 

This was Millie and Ruby's most difficult task yet, and they found the equipment quite difficult to use (Ruby managed to pit the bolts on backwards) 

Also in this episode, we decided to surprise our viewers with an Indel B Oblo 1600 Cab Cooler, fitted by Dale! This will be absolutely perfect for keeping our driver cool on warm summer evenings, and after several times testing it out, it definitely has the teams seal of approval!

Episode 6:

This very special episode featured a well known influencer as a guest star: none other than Trucker Tim! Tim had come to Kuda to get some work done on his own truck... so of course we had to rope him into starring in The BIG Truck Giveaway! First, Tim added his sticker to the inside of our driver side door, and signed below. Next, Tim attempted to help Millie and Ruby with fitting a set of mud flaps, but sadly to no avail. In the end, Dale ended up fitting these, and the front ones eventually had to be removed to make way for a later addition. The project had gone so well so far, that perhaps the team were due some minor complications! 

Thankfully though, we did manage to get some other accessories fitted. Our viewers had voted for 'V' style front grill lights, for which we used the Strands Dark Knight Strobe Lights and the Strands Dark Knight Slim Position Lights. A little higher up the front of the cab, we added a Vepro Sun Visor with spotlight cutouts, and fitted Oval LED Driving Lamps in these slots. Lastly, we added a pair of our very own MirrorShield Mirror Guards in the same lime green as our wrap.

This was a truly jam packed episode, and all of the above was kindly fitted by Dale, who did an absolutely fantastic job!

Episode 7:

Episode 7 was all about the lighting, and we had so much in store! Courtesy of Dale, two LightFix light bars were added to the front of the cab- a Sky Light on the top, and a Front Liner on the bottom. These bars come with built in LED's, and can also have additional lighting mounted to them.

In this case, the lighting chosen was 6 Strands Dark Knight Insane Driving Lights, voted for by our viewers. It was here that the truck really started to take shape, and we were over half way done.

Episode 8:

Now the front lighting was done, it was time to focus on the rear. For this, we added yet more LightFix bars- a Roof Liner and A Cab Liner- and some more Strands lighting voted for by our viewers. Red Pa

nda Qube work lights and Red Tiger LED Bar Work Lights were attached to the back of the cab, creating a fantastic range of red lights!

Also in this episode we added an UltraLED Switch Panel, linking all of our lights- plus our airhorns- together to give the driver full and accessible control. With so many accessories, it's important to

ensure the driver can keep track of what buttons do what, so we used a number of the included stickers to label them. The Switch Panel also has a super cool RGB LED backlight, giving some more colour to your cab at night! All this episodes accessories were fitted by Dale.

Episode 9:

In episode 9, we started on the interior of the cab, adding some of our fantastic own brands and partner brands suggested by our viewers. Firstly, James fitted one of our very own TruckChef Microwaves in the front of the cab, ensuring our winner can enjoy hot meals on the road. Next, Sam created a bespoke CabStore locker for the truck, which was then also fitted by James. This will mean that our winner will have plenty of storage on board!

Following this, Millie and Ruby were tasked with fitting a TomTom Go Expert, which seemed simple enough, but turned out to be rather difficult! To round off the episode, Olly created a sticker of the girls to place on the back of the truck, in celebration of the series and their involvement.

Episode 10:

We continued to take viewer suggestions and added even more cab comforts to the truck. Will made a return to the series to fit a LUXMOV HD Smart TV, an Indel B Under Bunk Fridge, and an interior lighting package for our CabStore Lockers. With all of this, our winner was all set for a cozy evening in!

Olly created a second sticker, this time of our viewers suggested quote- "Mission Accomplished"- to place beside the sticker of Millie and Ruby. With this, the fitters were finished, and the rest was going to be up to the girls!

Episode 11:
Millie and Ruby added the final touches to the cab interior, adding a steering wheel cover, floor and dash mats from Harrison Trim Supplies, personalised seat covers from By Ernest, and a set of cab curtains with the help of Kim. With all this, the cab really began to feel homely, so much so that the girls attempted to spend the night in the truck... only to realise there wasn't quite space for the two of them!

To put one final touch on the cab, Ruby added a sticker sent over to us by our TikTok influencer friend, Becky Giles. This was placed near the Trucker Tim sticker, just as a nice little reminder of some of the people outside of Kuda that have supported us with this series!

Episode 12:

Needham Market Fire Station

As part of our forfeit, Tom challenged Millie in helping the team at Needham Market Fire Station to clean the Truck for our winner.

Tom and Millie headed to the Fire Station where the boys gave our Truck a proper clean. After the bad weather we've had recently, our Truck was in need of a good scrub so our winner received it in great condition

After months of work from our engineers, challenges from Millie and Ruby, and suppliers adding some awesome accessories it all came down to the LIVE draw.

Millie and Ruby randomly generated a comment across our 11 episodes and a winner was picked (they were very nervous to say the least!)

The winner of our BIG Truck Giveaway was announced as Nick Wheeler. His comment was 'LAST CHANCE. I have been looking forward to each of these videos, it will be a shame once the series ends. The forfeit has got to be a full clean and polish, don't forget the tyre shine' (Don't worry Nick we had your back!)

Meeting Our Winner - Nick!

And after an MOT, our truck was ready to be collected by our Winner, Nick! Nick came all the way from Devon to Suffolk to collect his prize. Everyone at Kuda was very sad to see our Truck go (Especially Millie and Ruby!). Nick drove the Truck away and ventured on his journey home
