Everyone knows we love accessorising trucks - it’s the bread and butter of what we do! However, many of our accessories are compatible with a wide range of vehicles aside from HGV’s. Today, we wanted to shine a spotlight (pun intended) on a new influencer we’ve partnered with this year… and he has a tractor!?

Meet Zak Mumford!

Zak is a farmer from Shropshire who has amassed a huge following of 40k on TikTok by showing off the awesome upgrades he’s made to his John Deere 6R 155. Like us, Zak has a passion for vehicle lighting, and has a wide array of Strands lighting on his tractor. This consists of 2 12” Night Guard LED Bars, 2 7” Night Ranger Spotlights, and 2 Dark Knight Insane Driving Lights, all from Kuda. To control this impressive set up, Zak uses the Ultra LED Switch Panel from inside his cab, and he also has a set of Hornblasters tucked away at the front of his vehicle!

This week, our marketing department (that’s Millie and Ruby from The BIG Truck Giveaway, if you didn’t know!) made the long journey up from Suffolk to Shropshire to meet Zak, get to know him, and welcome him to the Kuda family. Of course, they couldn’t wait to check out the accessories on Zak’s tractor, but they also had a few questions to ask him to really show our audience who he is, what inspires him, and how he got into farming and TikTok.

How did you get into your line of work and how long have you been doing it?

“I got into my line of work through my apprenticeship which I started when I left high school, and I’ve been working here now for almost 9 years.”

What does a typical day in your life look like?

“Wake up, feed the dog, come to work. Then work is whatever work may be, whether it’s on the tractor or around stock. Then I just go home, feed the dog and go to bed.”

What’s your favourite part of your job?

“Tractor work! As long as I’m in a tractor, I’m happy. Obviously, stock work - I do enjoy it, I don’t mind it, but I’m always happiest in a tractor. Definitely.”

How did you get into TikTok and what videos have been successful for you?

“I think getting into TikTok was down to video ideas; doing the ideas and posting them, then eventually realising that people liked the content I was making. I think probably my best videos are my earlier transition videos going from something in summer to something in winter- just complete jumps through the year.”

How did you hear about Kuda?

“I think most likely I first heard of Kuda when I was looking for Strands lights!”

What is your favourite Strands light you have on your vehicle?

“My favourite light would probably have to be the Night Guard. The [slim position] light in the middle, and the strobes look great - I love strobes!"

Have you got any other accessories or modifications planned for the tractor?

“I do have a plan, but that is top secret! Some people do know, but they can’t say - they’ll have to follow to find out…”

If you could have any Kuda product, what would it be?

“I think the next one I have my eye on would be the Firefly Summer Glow LED beacons to go up top; a matching set of strobes. Yep - another light!”

Okay, so we’ll finish on a nice question - do you have any other hobbies?

“I have a few hobbies. Obviously, I’ve got my photography which I’m very fond of. I do have my cars, and I love my trucks as well. I also really like my gaming, it’s something I’ve done all my life, and I’m also into mountain biking.”

It was great to have the opportunity to chat with Zak and spend a few hours filming YouTube and TikTok videos together. We are very excited to be collaborating with someone who has influence in the farming and tractor communities online; this is a very different world for us, and it’s great to be able to reach those people with the help of Zak!

Make sure you drop Zak a follow on TikTok (@zmxxghostxx) and keep an eye out for a new 'Thank Truck It's Friday' coming very soon where you can watch Zak’s interview in full, and get a detailed tour of his tractor.
