Turning Up The Volume! | The BIG Truck Giveaway 2

Millie, Ruby, Will, and the team came back with a bang for another episode of The BIG Truck Giveaway 2, and it was time to give Rory some more major upgrades! Before they got started though, the fitters had a little gift for Millie and Ruby.

The Toolbox
The girls were excited to find that Will and our fitting team had gifted them their very own toolbox (in bright pink, of course) to help them with the work they would be carrying out later in the series. The fitting team wanted Millie and Ruby to know that even though they’ve gotten off lightly so far this series, there are still plenty of challenges planned for them for the future. The girls will be back fitting very soon!

To begin preparing, Millie and Ruby took a walk around the Kuda factory to find some useful tools and utensils that they could keep in their new toolbox. They found some small tools, some cello tape, and some toffee tape, but they also had to make sure they left space for some snacks, some makeup, and even a little duck mascot to take with them on the go! The girls wouldn’t get the opportunity to use their toolbox in this episode, but who knows what surprises episode 4 has in store for them…

Wheel Trims
Soon enough, it was time for the actual engineers to take over, and Will got to work fitting the wheel trims. Of course, these had to fit in with Millie and Ruby’s chosen colour scheme and were coated in a bright white. To create a truly sleek look, Will used a variety of wheel liners and nut covers including the Extra Deep Bolt on Rear Liners, the Closed Plain Nut Covers with Renault to Centre, and the American Simulator Front Axle Liners. Once fitted, these were then torqued up, and the nuts were finished off with a set of chrome wheel nut covers.

We love the look of the white wheel trims; they offer a really unique look, which are sure to stand out on the road. The addition of some chrome parts keeps the more traditional alloy look alive, while the white parts blend with the desired colour scheme of the truck. Combined with the MirrorShields fitted in the previous episode, you can already see Millie and Ruby’s vision starting to take shape, and we think this will only continue to look better and better the more white parts are added to the truck!

Air Horns
Speaking of adding more white, it was soon time to choose some Air Horns to- you guessed it- also coat in white and add to the truck! For this, Millie and Ruby headed to the warehouse to take a look at our stock and chat to Kim- our lead warehouse operative- about her recommendations.

Kim suggested the 29” chrome Hadley’s to the girls, offering them a very unique option. The girls were tempted by Kim’s suggestion, but already had their heart’s set on one of the most popular air horns amongst our customers: the 19” and 22” round end Hadley Airhorns! It was decided that we would use four horns and place two on either side. This way, the iAm Air Kit is avoided, and room is also left for a light bar to be easily added in the future.

Because Will was out on another job, Dale stepped in to fit the horns. Dale did a lot of work on our previous giveaway truck and is one of our most experienced fitters. Once again, the white colour looked fantastic against the dark blue of the truck. After the horns were fitted, it was time for Millie and Ruby to go and test them out. Once Millie eventually found the correct button, both of the girls were blown away by how loud the horns were. We’re sure these Hadley’s will be a huge upgrade for our winner, and will truly stand out and be heard on the road.
