Trucker Tim CRASHED Our Truck?! | The BIG Truck Giveaway Episode 6

It’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through our BIG Truck Giveaway series, with so many fantastic accessories already added and even more still to come! Before we get into what happened in episode 6, let’s have a quick recap on what we’ve done so far…

In the first episode, we collected the DAF from our friends at Chassis Cab. Graham and the team were so helpful, and we could already tell that the truck had a lot of potential! In episode 2, we added our first accessory voted for by our viewers: a pair of Kuda Black Edition Hadley Airhorns.

Since then, we have added a flat style name board, some Vepro side window deflectors, some side skirts, an Indel B Oblo 1600, ­­wheel trims, and a stunning wrap from Chapple Signs. The truck is really starting to come together now, and it’s all thanks to our viewers voting, commenting on our videos, and subscribing to our channel! We just want to take this time to say a massive thank you to everyone who has participated so far; we’ve loved seeing everyone’s enthusiasm for the series, and we can’t wait to show you what surprises we still have in store…

Fitting The Grill Lights:

In episode 6, it was time to fit the grill lights that our viewers voted for. Option A, ‘V Design’ won this time, and the team were excited to get to work on bringing this sleek, classic look to life. Strands lighting was used to create this design, with two Dark Knight Strobe lights at the top, followed by 8 Dark Knight Slim Position Lights to create the V shape. The grill lights were fitted by Dale, who fitted our cab cooler in the previous episode. Dale did a fantastic job with these lights and was a great sport about being on camera for a lengthy amount of time as this was no small task!

Trucker Tim Drove Our Truck:

Finally, the lights were fitted, just in time to welcome a very special guest to Kuda- Trucker Tim! Tim is a long-time friend of Kuda and was coming in to have some new accessories fitted to his own truck in time for show season. While he was here, he was excited to check out our giveaway truck and take it for a spin.

Tim commented that he thought the work done on the DAF was excellent and was particularly impressed by the wrap from Chapple Signs. He even managed to teach Millie and Ruby about some of the truck’s features that they- unsurprisingly- didn’t know existed! When it came to driving the truck, however, Tim (who is mostly experienced with Scania’s) couldn’t quite get to grips with the DAF, and the test drive was interesting to say the least- you’ll have to check out the vlog to see why!

Some Extra Additions:

Millie and Ruby’s mission for episode 6 was to fit some mud flaps to the truck, and before heading off, Trucker Tim offered to help them out with the task. He began confidently, sure that he would be able to show the girls how it’s done… sadly that wasn’t the case. It wasn’t long before Tim and the girls realised that this job was far beyond their levels of expertise, and Dale was called in once again to help out and get the mud flaps fitted properly.

Despite not managing to fit anything to our DAF, Trucker Tim was very satisfied with his own truck’s new additions- a set of Horn Blasters, an Oblo 1600, and a Fifth Wheel Cover- and it was time for him to go. You can watch his video of his experience at Kuda here. 

Despite Tim’s departure, we weren’t finished yet… or more accurately, Dale wasn’t, as we had just one more thing for him to add: a Vepro sun visor! We think this looked absolutely fantastic once fitted, and with all the new additions this episode, the truck is looking fantastic overall.

Time To Vote:

Once again, it was time for the viewers to vote, and this episode we had a really exciting poll in store! Next episode, we will be adding some LightFix Light Bars to the giveaway truck, and it will be up to our viewers to decide which Strands lights we attach to them! The choices are:
